The ties between the U.S and Iran in the decades after the Islamic Revolution of Iran was on the pattern of conflict and divergence. Therefore, it can be said that Ideological conflict was the base and the main factor behind this meme. Over the years the U.S has tried to use various pretexts to deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the past decade, Iran's nuclear program was an excuse for its conflict behavior, and in this regard coercive diplomacy has been the main U.S policy toward Iran. This study was an attempt to review the U.S coercive diplomacy against Iran's nuclear program. The main question is that what are the tools used by the U.S in its coercive diplomacy towards Iran's nuclear program, and what are the effects of this diplomacy on Iran's nuclear activities. To answer this question it was hypothesized that economic sanctions and military threats are the main tools for the U.S coercive diplomacy towards Iran's nuclear activities. Moreover, the U.S was able to use this tools to impose significant limitations on Iran's nuclear program. The research methodology was case study in which documents and library studies were used to collect the data.
