The rapid developments in communication technologies have transformed cyberspace into a novel and influential arena impacting individual and social life. This space, by creating new opportunities for interactions and information flow, has affected various domains including politics, economy, culture, and security. The media of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as the primary information intermediaries, play a key role in shaping public opinion. However, with the emergence of new cyber threats such as information distortion and public opinion manipulation to the detriment of national interests, they face serious challenges. The aim of this research is to identify the components of media activism of the Islamic Republic of Iran in confronting cyber threats. Therefore, the nature of this research is exploratory with a qualitative approach. To achieve the research objectives, a qualitative method was used, where data were collected through interviews and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The statistical population of the research consisted of media experts and informants, with 12 participants selected through theoretical saturation. The coding results led to the identification of 10,000 recurring open codes, 10 main components or indicators, 71 sub-components, and 138 concepts related to "media activism of the Islamic Republic of Iran in confronting cyber threats." Accordingly, the main components identified are: 1. Coordination and Cohesion, 2. Audience Analysis and Impact, 3. Innovation and Creativity, 4. Media Economy and Independence, 5. Responsibility and Ethics, 6. Education and Empowerment, 7. Celebrities and Intellectuals, 8. Audience Engagement, 9. Cyberspace and Intellectual Campaigns, 10. Combatting Enemy Media.
