The family represents the most fundamental unit of society and serves as the primary facilitator of individuals' social bonds and connections with other societal institutions. This article seeks to develop an indigenous model of a resilient (mostahkam) and influential (naqsh-afarin) family within organizational settings. To achieve this aim, the core research question was posed: What are the characteristics of a resilient and influential family in organizations?
To answer this question, in-depth interviews were conducted with 12 purposively selected experts in family studies and individuals possessing extensive high-level managerial experience in organizations. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis, employing open, axial, and selective coding techniques. Validity and reliability were ensured through assessments of credibility, transferability, and confirmability, utilizing holistic credibility examination methods. The resulting inter-rater agreement coefficient (rtt = 0.92) indicated a high level of consensus among evaluators.
The results demonstrate that a family characterized by positive familial attributes, effective control over income and expenditures, appropriate media consumption, commitment to acquiring Islamic values and adopting an Iranian-Islamic lifestyle, as well as high-quality intra-family and extended kinship relationships, can transform into the resilient family archetype expected by organizations. Such families are associated with elevated job satisfaction, enhanced creativity and innovation, greater intra-family harmony, improved organizational productivity, continuous advancement in both family and organizational conditions relative to the past, and a hopeful outlook toward the future
